签订正式劳动合同有利于规范用人单位用工制度,维护劳动者的合法权益,进而塑造和谐的劳动关系。文章利用CFPS2016年微观数据,实证研究了签订劳动合同对员工工作满意度的影响。首先,文章实证结果表明,签订正式劳动合同可以显著地提高员工的工作满意度,平均的估计效应达5%左右。其次,异质性研究表明工作满意度提升效应主要集中在16−40岁的劳动者。稳健性测试显示,签订正式合同仅对工作满意度存在促进效应,而对生活满意度、婚姻满意度不存在显著影响。再次,为排除因为家庭压力、子女教育等遗漏变量造成的估计偏误,文章进一步借助夫妻双方劳动合同的差异构造“处理−对照”准自然实验,结果显示夫妻双方中签订正式劳动合同的一方工作满意度相对更高。而若夫妻双方签订劳动合同状况一致,则双方工作满意度没有显著差异。最后,使用“户籍”作为签订正式合同的工具变量,估计结果再一次证实签订正式合同对工作满意度的因果效应。总之,劳动合同是劳动关系的核心,文章的研究对评估《劳动合同法》的政策效应以及对和谐劳动关系的构建具有重要意义。
