The new format of the digital economy with platform enterprises as the main carrier has become an important driving force, traction force and competition force for the high-quality development of China’s economy. Supporting platform enterprises to lead development, create job opportunities, and demonstrate their skills in international competition has become a key focus of vigorously developing the digital economy and enhancing normalized supervision capabilities. Thus, promoting platform connectivity in a scientific and orderly manner, especially in the field of data security and efficient sharing, and using normalized supervision to assist and ensure the high-quality development of the digital economy have become a consensus.
With the gradual normalization of platform supervision, the problems left over during the special rectification period are gradually emerging. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the negative impact of connectivity and weigh the pros and cons. The study finds that strengthening data transmission between multiple entities due to platform connectivity may increase data security risks; forcing the platform to open will trigger new risks of restricting competition and undermine the enthusiasm of platform entities; and it may have a counter effect and pose a risk of exacerbating the imbalance in the platform’s power structure. Through the analysis of the reasons for the correspondence between risk and supervision, it can be found that the above risks stem from the need to improve supervision technology and technical supervision, clarify supervision rules, and refine supervision measures in the process of promoting platform connectivity. it is necessary to introduce new supervision methods to address the negative impact of connectivity.
Normalized supervision has put forward new requirements, standards, and directions for platform connectivity. In response to this, connectivity should redefine boundaries and reflect on supervision systems. To this end, it is necessary to establish an accurate system of connectivity rules, promote the further development of platform classification and grading, and improve the identification methods of connectivity behavior on this basis. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the supervision system and mechanism for connectivity, with a focus on improving the government supervision mechanism, strengthening collaboration on the basis of clearly defining the authority of supervision departments, and building a diversified supervision pattern. Finally, in the context of continuous progress in technology and the rule of law, it is necessary to improve the supporting measures for connectivity supervision, promote standardization construction and technical supervision, and assist the safe development of platform connectivity in China under normalized supervision.
