6555本文以我国上市高新技术企业为研究对象，引入企业生命周期，从董事会服务和监督职能的动态视角，考察CEO—董事会关系“如何”以及“何时”影响企业研发投入。研究发现，CEO—董事会关系能促进企业研发投入的提高，董事会的服务职能在两者关系中起到了部分中介作用，并随着企业的逐渐发展成熟，董事会服务职能对企业研发投入的正向影响显著减弱。同时实证结果表明，良好的CEO—董事会关系并不弱化董事会的监督，监督也不抑制企业研发投入。研究结论不仅有助于调和董事会履行服务职能和监督职能之间的悖论冲突，也为企业的研发投入提供了决策参考。
