中国高速铁路大规模建设加速了城市的人口流动和土地开发。然而,二者的推进缺乏协调性,当前中国土地城镇化速度明显超出人口城镇化的空间需求,从而导致了城市蔓延现象。文章采用双重差分方法,以2007年−2015年中国地级城市面板数据为研究样本,实证检验中国高速铁路建设与城市蔓延的因果效应。研究发现:高速铁路已成为诱发中国城市蔓延现象的重要因素。逐年检验的结果显示,随着中国高速铁路的不断推进,由高铁导致的城市蔓延现象呈现出阶段性特征。在此基础上,文章将城市按照不同的标准进行分类研究发现,规模较大城市、东部地区城市和设高铁站于城市外围的城市蔓延水平受高速铁路的影响更大。因此,文章认为,中国城市在把握高速铁路开通机遇的同时,应积极规避高速铁路发展所带来的负面影响,使城市建设布局更加科学合理。
