Since the reform and opening up, China’s economic and social fields have undergone profound changes, mainly manifested in tremendous changes in the three aspects of social ownership structure, resource allocation method and technical condition. These institutional and technological changes are not only an important force to promote the improvement of China’s social productivity and people’s living standards, but also the basic logic that leads to the evolution of China’s distribution relations and the transformation of distribution methods. First of all, the ownership structure of production materials has gradually evolved from a single public ownership system before the reform and opening up to an ownership structure in which public ownership is the main body of multiple ownership economies, and a mixed ownership system has been formed. The diversification of the ownership structure has brought about a diversification of distribution relations and distribution methods. The distribution method has gradually changed from a single distribution according to work to a situation in which multiple distribution methods coexist. Secondly, the mode of resource allocation is gradually transformed from the highly centralized planned economy system before the reform and opening up to the current market economy system through the stage of common development of the plan and the market. The marketization of resource allocation methods has changed the specific implementation form of distribution methods, which has led to the emergence of marketization and monetization trends in distribution forms. Market-type distribution according to work has gradually replaced the original product-type distribution according to work. Finally, technical conditions and forms have also undergone profound changes. In particular, in recent years, the development level of informatization has been rapidly improved, new technologies such as big data, cloud computing and blockchain have been rapidly developed and widely applied, and the development of artificial intelligence has been surging. By acting on the mode of production and economic relations, new technologies such as the Internet have quietly begun to influence the distribution of income in our country, expand the range of factors and channels of participation in distribution, and change the distribution pattern of income in industry and individuals. The above three kinds of changes affect the relation of income distribution in China. This is the logical process of the change of China’s distribution relation since the reform and opening up, and it is also the logical starting point for the future evolution. In the new era, China’s distribution relation will develop in the direction of shared distribution, and a shared distribution method will gradually take shape. On the one hand, mixed ownership has become the realization form of the basic economic system. The combination of the market and the government has established the future orientation of the way of resource allocation, which has laid the institutional foundation for the formation of the shared-type distribution. The fruits of the reform are being shared by the broad masses of the people through various forms. On the other hand, with the emergence of the information network technology, and the formation of new technologies, new formats, and new economy, under the influence of the advanced information network technology, the sharing economy is developing in depth, and the supply and demand matching of people’s production and life is more scientific and automated. Especially because the information network technology itself is shared, it can realize the replicable and shareable derivative effects in a low-cost way, which lays a technical foundation for the formation of the shared distribution method.
