Summary

New quality productive forces are advanced productive forces quality which conform to the new development philosophy. In the era of the digital economy, digital technology is deeply integrated with the three factors of productive forces, giving birth to digital new quality productive forces characterized by digitalization and intelligence. Production relations have a counterproductive effect on productive forces. The development of digital new quality productive forces cannot be separated from the corresponding socialist production relations with Chinese characteristics. The basic economic system, as the core and concentrated embodiment of socialist production relations, gives full play to its strong institutional advantages. From the perspective of the material attributes of productive forces, the basic economic system promotes scientific and technological innovation to cultivate digital new quality productive forces and promotes a substantial increase in TFP. From the perspective of the social attributes of productive forces, the basic economic system ensures that productive forces get rid of “capital attributes” and return to “social nature” to meet the needs of the people for a better life. In the development of digital new quality productive forces, socialist ownership with Chinese characteristics provides the fundamental guarantee, the distribution system promotes the creation and sharing of development achievements, and the market economy system guarantees the efficiency and fairness of development. At present, it is necessary to adjust the system and mechanism to form production relations more compatible with digital new quality productive forces. By exploring the data property rights system, improving the income distribution system, and building a high-standard socialist market economy system, we can accelerate the development of digital new quality productive forces, fully demonstrate the social nature of productive forces, and better meet the ever-growing expectation of the people for a better life.
