The deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy (digital-real integration) has become an inevitable path for achieving high-quality economic development in China. Industrial Internet platforms, as an important force driving this integration, have attracted the attention of many scholars. However, existing research has not yet conducted in-depth discussions on how industrial Internet platforms achieve digital-real integration. This paper, based on a single-case study of the Inspur Yunzhou Industrial Internet Platform, explores the paths through which industrial Internet platforms achieve digital-real integration from a scenario-driven perspective. The study finds that industrial Internet platforms face three typical scenarios in the process of digital-real integration: digital empowerment scenario, digital reconstruction scenario, and digital inclusiveness scenario. For different scenarios, platforms adopt different network arrangement strategies to achieve digital-real integration: In the digital empowerment scenario, a loose arrangement is used to achieve single-mapping integration; in the digital reconstruction scenario, a compact arrangement is relied on to achieve multi-mapping integration; in the digital inclusiveness scenario, an integrated arrangement is used to achieve full-mapping integration. This paper constructs a path model of “scenario-driven digital-real integration–network arrangement–effectiveness of digital-real integration”, and reveals the mechanism of industrial Internet platforms achieving digital-real integration, providing theoretical support and practical references for industrial Internet platforms to empower the high-quality development of the real economy.
